Toolspine is a curated directory of AI tools across many categories, including a small number of adult-content and AI companion tools. We list these tools to inform — not to endorse any specific use, content type, or provider.

This page sets out the guidelines we expect all users to follow when discovering or using adult-category tools found on Toolspine.

All adult-content and AI companion tools listed on Toolspine are strictly for users aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you must not access, browse, or use these tools in any way.

Third-party tools may have their own age-verification mechanisms. Passing those checks does not waive your responsibility to comply with the laws of your jurisdiction regarding adult content.

Several AI companion and image-generation tools allow users to upload photos or describe real individuals. You must never use these tools to generate content depicting a real, identifiable person without their explicit, documented consent.

Creating, sharing, or distributing AI-generated sexual imagery of real people without consent is illegal in many jurisdictions and causes serious harm. Toolspine flags tools with known consent-risk features in their listing descriptions.

• Do not use AI companion or image tools to produce content involving minors in any form.
• Do not use these tools to harass, threaten, or target specific individuals.
• Do not present AI-generated images as real photographs of a person to deceive others.
• Respect each tool's own terms of service — violations are your responsibility.
• Be aware that AI-generated adult content can perpetuate harmful stereotypes. Engage critically.

When using photo-based AI tools (face-swap, AI clone, companion image generators) you are uploading biometric-adjacent data to a third-party server. Before uploading:

• Read the tool's privacy policy — especially how photos are stored and whether they're used for model training.
• Avoid uploading photos of others without their consent.
• Prefer tools that clearly state they do not retain or train on your uploads if privacy matters to you.

Laws around AI-generated adult content vary by country. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of any tool on Toolspine complies with the laws of your jurisdiction, including:

• Laws governing the creation and distribution of adult content
• Laws against non-consensual intimate imagery ("deepfake" laws)
• Data protection and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

• Tools must not be primarily designed to generate content depicting minors.
• Tools with known consent-risk features are labelled in their description.
